Scheme 1a - Post-Graduate
Scholarships in Conflict Resolution
Scholarships are valued at up to €16,000 per annum. They
will be awarded initially for one year, but subject to terms and
conditions, are renewable for up to two additional years. Fees
will also be covered for the period of the Scholarship. Applicants
must already be, or will be during the academic year 2008/2009,
registered in a recognised higher education institution as full-time
post-graduate research students pursuing degrees by major thesis.
Those who are undertaking taught programmes, or degrees where
a thesis is a minor part of the programme, are not eligible.
Applicants to the Research
Council’s Scheme 1: Post-Graduate Scholarship will automatically
be considered eligible for Scheme 1a: Conflict Resolution Post-Graduate
Scholarship, provided that they fulfill all the relevant criteria
for Scheme 1a and submit an email outlining the relevance of their
proposed research to the themes. Applicants who have already applied
to Scheme 1 who wish to make a new application to Scheme 1a are
welcome to do so, once the Research Council has been informed
accordingly (by email to info@irchss.ie).”
Applications must conform with
the specified
themes.
