Postgraduate Scholarships Progress Reports Due

The PGS progress reports for the period July - December 2011 are now due for submission. Reports must be completed using the templates which can be downloaded below. For this reporting period an electronic copy is only required, please email your report to schemes@irchss.ie no later than 4pm, Monday 16th January 2011. Please note the following:

The PGS progress reports for the period July - December 2011 are now due for submission. Reports must be completed using the templates which can be downloaded below. For this reporting period an electronic copy is only required, please email your report to schemes@irchss.ie no later than 4pm, Monday 16th January 2011. Please note the following:

  • Late submissions or incomplete submissions (i.e. missing parts of the report such as the supervisor's report) may entail in the termination of an award.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that your supervisor (s) submits their electronic report on time; failure to do so may result in termination of the award.
  • If you have difficulty in securing a report please email info@irchss.ie immediately. It is insufficient to simply mention it either the week of or on the submission date as incomplete reports will entail the termination of an award.
  • In addition, if you have two supervisors, both supervisors must complete a progress report; one will not suffice.
  • For this reporting period, you are only required to submit an electronic copy. Please note that the renewal of your funding is based on this report and, as such, the information provided in the report should be correct and accurate. If any of the information is found to be incorrect, your scholarship will be terminated. Your supervisor is required to read your progress report before you submit and confirm that it is an accurate report.
  • Scholars who commenced their scholarship on 1 October 2011 can detail their progress for the period October-December 2011.
  • Please note that payment of your stipend takes a couple of weeks to process for both the IRCHSS and your institution. Both IRCHSS and your institution will endeavour to pay your stipend by the end of April 2012 at the latest. Scholars are advised that they should plan their finances for a six-month period, as the renewal of your scholarship is based on the submission of a satisfactory progress report.
  • Please note that the review process will take approximately 8 to 10 weeks from the date of submission of your report.  Late submission of any reports will delay the process.

The timely submission of satisfactory progress report is an absolute condition of holding and renewing the scholarship. Please note that the Research Council will not send a follow-up email requesting your report.
